Hoops

I'm pretty serious about hoops. Above is a sequence between me and my Dad. It's starts by looking him in the eye letting him know he has no chance to stop me. Then I set him up with a cross-over, which usually makes him fall over. And finally my jubilation when I dunk on him - it's awesome! And I do it all holding an orange firetruck in one hand.

Hand stands

Happy Valentine's Day. The first month and a half of 2009 have been great. I've been doing my best to keep up with my big sister. I finally mastered hand stands. I've been working out and working on my wrestling moves so I can put up a better fight when I wrestle with her at night. I as soon as I can pin her down I'll let you know!

Hiking with Avery

Happy Holidays everyone. You should check out my sister's blog to hear about our Christmas activities. Today my Dad took Avery and I on a hike to the very top of the mountain. It took us over 2 hours, but I made it to the top all by myself. When we got to the top I couldn't believe how much I could see, the city, bridges, the ocean, the bay, airplanes, it was so cool. Swimming in Florida

I got pretty daring this year in Florida. I decided I love swimming as much as my sister. I love jumping in the pool and kicking around all by myself. Special thanks to Grandpa who spent so much time with us in the pool, even though it was a little chilly. I'll be looking forward to showing off my skills in Pleasanton soon.

Belated Birthday...

Well my life has been a whirlwind since I turned 2 almost a month ago now. This is the first chance I've had to sit down and blog about it. My birthday party in SSF was fun, Hailey and I had a great time blowing party streamers. And then in Florida I had another party thanks to Grandma and Grandpa Clark, I guess when you turn 2 you get 2 parties. I'll be looking forward to turning 3...

Pumpkins

Today I carved a pumpkin at my friend Foster's house. Everyone else was putting all the pumpkin goo into these big white tubs, so I thought it would be fun to take all the goo and put it in my pumpkin. I'm looking forward to Halloween, it will be spooky.

Today was Avery's 4th birthday so we had a lot going on, I still tried to find some time to watch a little of the Vikings game and then me and some of the kids in the neighborhood got together for a friendly game of Lacrosse.

Yesterday I went to Milo's birthday party, it was a lot of fun. We played with balloons, and balls and there was a great park. When everyone was inside, I tried to sneak outside so I could have it all to myself but my mom caught me on film.

I'm getting more and more interested in sports. I love watching basketball with my dad (especially KG), I love trying to throw the football (check out my grip), and the other day at the park I was shagging fly balls with a local baseball team.

I'm learning lots of new words too, including CHEESE. Which always makes me make a funny face.

I finally got my indoor basketball court. It's about time, I've been asking about this forever. I just can't get enough, I don't want to eat or sleep, I just want to shoot hoops. I've been working on my shot, C-U-Cookie Jar and my crossover (it needs a little work). If you ever stop by I'd love to play a little P-I-G.

Just a walk in the park

Today the Easter Bunny came to our house and my big sister found the Easter baskets that where left for us. He left us a couple fun things including a kite that I flew all by myself today. After breakfast this morning we went out to Pleasanton to spend Easter with the Sciammas Family and it was lots of fun as usual. After I had a steak for lunch I took a walk to the park where I had some time to reflect on my basketball career.

Day at the beach

Today we went to Baker Beach. The big story was not the cute pictures you see above, it was what was happening while my dad was taking these shots. My sister was running down toward the waves and then running away from them, well even though she thinks she is fast, she's not that fast. A big one caught her, clobbered her and buried her. Even started to pull her out - Kevin (of Aunt Julie and Uncle Kevin) was keeping his eye on her and was able to save the day. Check out some of the flickr photo's for some before and after shots.

Florida Fun

A couple weeks ago I was hanging out in Florida, since I've been back all the naps, walking around and playing with my sister have kept me pretty busy. This morning I finally found some time to update you about my trip and share a few pics. There are more on Flickr (link on the right). I had a great time swimming with Grandpa and playing with Grandma. The beach was a lot of fun too, I like sitting in the water and have the waves roll over me.

I turned 1 yesterday. It was a crazy first year, no doubt about it. A lot has happened, too much to mention. I'd just like to thank my mom and dad for all the love and support, my sister Avery for being (mostly) nice to me, my grandparents for spoiling me and all my friends that make my days more fun. We had a fun birthday party with my friends Henry, Hailey & Nicole. Avery was there too of course. We had cake and played with new toys. Thanks for coming everyone!

It was my first Halloween today. Avery thinks that I was dressed up as Baby Jaguar but I don't really know who that is, I just liked pretending I was a cat. I think my sister had most of the fun tonight, especially when we went trick-or-treating, but I had a few laughs with the kids too.

I'm pulling myself up on everything now-a-days and even like to pretend to walk, as long as someone is helping me. Avery, my big sister, really like to help me; until she gets bored and lets me fall flat on my face. It's alright though, it's toughening me up. At least that's what Dad says.

Last weekend I ventured to the Hawkeye state to see my Aunt Marisa K Jensen graduate from College. I think the K in her name is for like when you strike someone out because she does that a lot. She's the pitcher on her college's softball team. It was a nice visit I got to see Grandma and Grandpa Jensen, Greatgrandma Mary, Grandpa Slater and Aunt Julie (Uncle Kevin too). I also played with Uncle Jason and Uncle Matt, they were lots of fun. And of course I couldn't forget my super cousin Madeline - when she wasn't playing with my big sister she couldn't put me down.

Spring Training kicked off this week, thankfully the Twins were kind enough to push my report date back to Feb of 2025. It gives me a little more time to enjoy the simple pleasures of life before the daily grind of 162 game schedule.

Bath time

I had my very first "real" bath on Friday, you can see how much fun at I had. My big sister helped wash my feet, that was nice of her. Add in some sleeping, eating and a few poops and that about rounds out my day.

I went to the Sciammas house for Thanksgiving today. It was nice, everyone held me. I especially enjoyed cuddling with Grandma Sciammas, she just seems to have the special touch, you other babies know what I mean. Anyway, I wasn't able to eat some turkey but I was able to take a nap!

I've just been taking it slow. Eating, sleeping and of course lots of pooping. Avery gives me lots of attention, she really likes me. Today she sang me a song and held me in her arms. It was nice. I can't wait until I'm a little bigger and can play with her, she seems to always be having fun. It's going to be awesome.

The day it all began

Yeah, I was born today. It was pretty cool. After meeting my mom and dad I got a bath, I ate and basically just slept a lot, not a bad first day. Oh, I almost forgot I also met my older sister Avery, she's cool enough but frankly, she might be a little off her rocker - I mean the chick seems a little crazy to me, she never stops moving, she's very loud and she's constantly trying to hug me. But hey, she's my sister so I love her.

I've been told I weighed in at 7lbs 13.4oz and measured 19.5 inches long and was able to do 1 push up and 50% of a pull up.
